Standardisation Training for English leaders and Yr 6 teachers

You will review the national assessment criteria for writing at the end of KS2 using the Teacher Assessment Framework and ensure a thorough understanding of the interpretation of pupil-can statements using national exemplification material.

The course will emphasise the importance of assessing writing holistically to understand the impact on the reader and to judge the effectiveness of children’s choices. Material used in this course is likely to be familiar to many or most delegates.
